Director of the Office of Lifelong Faith Formation
Diocese of Portland

The Diocese of Portland seeks a committed, active Catholic to serve as the director of lifelong faith formation. This diocesan level position is responsible for the oversight of all catechetical ministry to every age group throughout the diocese. The director initiates, develops, and facilitates various programs and services that communicate the vision of lifelong faith formation; provides regular support and development opportunities to pastors and their parish faith formation staffs; and assists parish staffs in meeting the needs of parishioners in the areas of catechetics, youth and young adult ministry, adult faith formation, and sacramental preparation including Christian initiation, marriage and family life.  The director must possess knowledge of and be committed to the vision of all major Church documents relating to evangelization and lifelong faith formation.  This position supervises three full-time staff members. Executive Assistant to the Superintendent of Maine Catholic Schools

The Diocese of Portland has an upcoming opening for an executive assistant to the superintendent of Maine Catholic Schools. The executive assistant is responsible for providing administrative support to the superintendent, coordinating the visa process for international students, and monitoring the progress of teachers and education technicians in the phases of certification and recertification. Responsibilities also include maintaining various files, composing draft communications, offering administrative support to the diocesan school board and certification committee, and preparing reports related to school data. Three to five years of experience as an executive assistant is preferred. Advancement Associate (Solicitations and Events)
Saint Dominic Academy, Auburn Campus

Saint Dominic Academy seeks an advancement associate specializing in solicitations and events. This position is responsible for the administrative operations of the advancement office, supervising any staff or volunteers who may help with advancement work, and designing and creating materials needed to raise funds. The individual will create and disseminate donor and prospect solicitations as planned for the year, which may include mail appeals, e-appeals, e-newsletters, annual reports, e- blasts, etc.; provide analysis and evaluation of the appeal program; create effective social media and crowd funding strategies to attract new donors; coordinate fundraising events as planned for the year, including the  Annual Auction, Holiday Festival and Walk-a-Thon. Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree, two to three years of advancement or alumni relations experience, and proficiency with graphic design software. This is a year-round position and requires occasional night and weekend work. Advancement Associate (Gift Processing and Database Management)
Saint Dominic Academy, Auburn Campus

Saint Dominic Academy seeks an advancement associate specializing in gift processing and database management. This position is responsible for entering, researching and maintaining data in the donor management system, and ensuring the integrity of that data. The position involves accurate processing of gifts and pledges, running daily proof reports for each gift batch, and completing deposit slips for daily entries. The position will work with the Roman Catholic Diocese of Portland to value and enter stock gifts. This position requires an individual oriented who has experience with databases and with adhering to detailed policies and procedures. Qualifications include a minimum of two years of experience in managing database records. This is a year-round, part-time position. Pre-Kindergarten Instructor

This individual is the first point of contact for daily inquiries regarding St. Brigid School and needs to possess strong interpersonal skills. The receptionist must be comfortable administering minor medical care, as needed, and medicine (as approved by parents) to students. Certification in CPR and First Aid is a plus. Other tasks include screening and greeting people entering the school, completing general administrative and clerical support, preparing letters/ documents, photocopying, processing mail, preparing daily deposits, and organizing meetings. Science/Technology Teacher

In addition, the science/technology teacher teaches STREAM (Science - Technology - Religion- Engineering - Art - Math) challenges to kindergarteners and up with the respective classroom teacher. A knowledge of MakerSpace would be a plus as our goal is to create a MakerSpace lab. Coordinator of Youth Ministry

Case Worker

St. Brendan the Navigator Parish, in partnership with Catholic Charities, has an immediate opening for a case worker (8-10 hours per week) at the St. Bernard Soup Kitchen in Rockland. The case worker will provide information and community resources to anyone facing housing, health, legal or other issues. Case workers network with local churches and non-profit organizations to address the needs of the poor, homeless, and marginalized. A degree in social work is required. The ideal candidate will excel at working collaboratively, treating those in need with dignity, and networking.
