Diocesan Construction (DICON)
There is an immediate opening for a skilled carpenter to work with DICON, the diocesan construction group. The successful candidate will have experience with finish carpentry, framing and roofing, and at least five years of carpentry experience. Possessing the ability to read blueprints is a plus, and you must be willing to work at heights. This position will work both independently and with supervision. Requirements include some travel and a valid driver’s license. The work week runs from Monday through Thursday, 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The diocese offers medical, dental, life and long-term disability insurances as well as paid vacation and sick days. The keyboardist/choir director will also play at weekly choir practice and on holy days and seasonal services. Opportunities for additional services are possible. Duties include recruiting and training leaders, supervising all youth ministry activities from junior high through high school at various churches in the parish. The successful candidate will have strong people skills, excel in communication and organization, and be a practicing Catholic.
