Coordinator of Youth Ministry
Diocese of Portland

The Diocese of Portland seeks a coordinator of youth ministry who will help to bring young people into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ and live as his active and faithful disciples in the world today. The coordinator will be responsible for developing a long-range vision to meet the spiritual and formation needs of youth throughout the diocese, supporting youth ministers and providing them with ongoing formation opportunities, and organizing diocesan youth events and programs. A bachelor’s degree in youth ministry, theology, pastoral studies or a related field is preferred, as is a minimum of 5-8 years of full-time youth ministry experience. The successful candidate will be an active, practicing Catholic and possess excellent communication skills. The ability to travel and work some weekends is required. Coordinator of Ongoing Formation

The Diocese of Portland seeks a coordinator of ongoing formation. The coordinator provides resources, formation, and services for ongoing formation to parishes, including the areas of marriage preparation, family ministry, young adult ministry, and adult faith formation. This position works collaboratively with other members of the Office of Lifelong Faith Formation in the planning, oversight, and implementation of programs. A bachelor’s degree in religious education, theology, pastoral studies, or a related field is preferred, as is a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in catechetical ministry. The successful candidate will be an active, practicing Catholic and possess excellent communication skills. The ability to travel and work some weekends is required. Music Minister/Choir Director
St. Bartholomew Parish, Cape Elizabeth

Cluster 22 (St. Bartholomew Parish, Cape Elizabeth; St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish, Scarborough; St. John and Holy Cross Parish, South Portland) seeks a part-time music minister/choir director with primary duties in Cape Elizabeth.  The successful candidate will possess strong communication skills and interact well with people; develop musical gifts within the parish to enhance all liturgical celebrations; and foster full, conscious and active participation in the liturgy by all parishioners. Responsibilities also include selecting music, accompanying and leading the choir, mentoring cantors, developing volunteers, and playing for funerals, holy days, and other parish events as needed. Responsibilities include financial management and reporting; oversight of maintenance, human resources, purchasing, and bookkeeping for the parishes; and attendance at finance and pastoral council meetings. Five to ten years of experience in business, management, or bookkeeping is preferred. Custodian
Our Lady of Hope Parish, Portland

Our Lady of Hope Parish in Portland seeks a full-time custodian to provide cleaning services, basic maintenance for the parish buildings and properties, and setup assistance of the parish hall for events. The custodian is responsible for arranging inspections of fire systems, heating systems, elevators, and kitchen in order to meet state and city requirements. The successful candidate should have 2-3 years of experience, the ability to work with minimal supervision, familiarity with janitorial equipment and supplies, and an understanding and application of recording chemical logs (MSDS's). Handyman
Parish of the Holy Eucharist, Falmouth

There is an immediate opening for a handyman at the Parish of the Holy Eucharist which includes churches in Gray, Freeport, Yarmouth, and Falmouth. The handyman provides routine maintenance and minor repairs to the facilities in the parish, and schedules appointments with contractors as well as directing them. Qualified candidates will have 2-3 years of experience with maintenance and minor repair work. Must have a clean driving record and the ability to travel between locations. First-Grade Teacher

Receptionist

St. Brigid School in Portland seeks a receptionist to attend to school families, staff, and visitor inquiries both on the phone and in person. The receptionist must be comfortable administering minor medial care, as needed and medicine (as approved by parents) to students. Certification in CPR and First Aid is a plus. Other tasks include screening and greeting people entering St. Brigid School, general administrative and clerical support, sorting and delivering mail, preparing daily deposits, assisting with the organization of meetings, maintaining a clean and organized reception area, and preparing any other task requested by the administration. The daily hours are 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
